One of the favorite overnight stops on the way up was at Goyam (3220m), where we met a local man who lived with his family in a small lodge on the edge of the climbing ridge. We spent the evening with only the family, eating good homemade Sherpa Stew and then waking up early in the morning to see a wonderful array of stars in the sky. This photo was taken in the morning before we started hiking.
