On the way to the start of our camel safari, the driver stopped to show us this Jain Temple outside of town. Jain Temples are known for their beautifully-carved exteriors. When going into a Jain temple, it is forbidden to wear any sort of leather, as the killing of animals is a strict taboo. Some of the most devout Jain people even wear a mask over their mouth, to prevent from accidentally breathing in (and therefore killing) small insects.
