Live the Journey

What's in a Name?

We thought it might be helpful to explain why we decided to name our website “vivaelviaje.com.”

A central theme of our trip is the “living the journey” idea that is presented in the purpose paper. The website title, “Viva el Viaje” is a Spanish variation of this same phrase.

In Spanish, the definitions of our phrase broken down are:

Viva: living or alive, also vivid, bright, acute, fiery, keen, clever (adj) or to cheer (v)

el: the

Viaje: journey, trip or voyage (n)

The primary translation of “Viva el Viaje” that we have adopted as our central theme is “living the journey,” but we also like the other variations that come from the word “viva” that can be derived from the list of adjectives listed above.

If you have any more questions about the name, or if our Spanish is just way off, please let us know.
